Demand Response: Case Studies from the Summer of 2006 The Summer of 2006 will go down as the hottest summer on record. New Peak Demand records were set in almost the entire country, as well as Canada. As of mid-August, the electrical grid has managed to avoid catastrophic black-outs, thanks in no small measure to the contributions of the Demand Response (DR) capacity already installed. This conference will feature presentations from customers, ISO's, aggregators and suppliers. They will address actual experiences with DR programs and offer suggestions that could improve these programs. Come and learn what works and (sometimes even more importantly) what doesn't. The meeting also provides insights into the continued evolution of advanced metering infrastructures (AMI) and demand response program designs and the details about why demand response is proving to be a critical benefit justifying AMI. In the closing session, a panel of DR thought-leaders will summarize the conference information and discuss views of the future. As anyone who has attended in the past will attest, this meeting also provides an unprecedented opportunity to network with industry leaders and participate in an open, creative, but structured dialogue about critical industry issues. Please come and join us!
